Greetings ComSoc Kenya Members!

I’m happy to have this opportunity to present our second issue of the ComSoc Kenya Chapter Newsletter to share some of the exciting updates from the Chapter and ComSoc in general. We will also be highlighting the happenings from our Student Chapters.
We had a members meeting in May and had a new ComSoc Student Branch Chapter “born” in June and look forward to some interesting engagements in the coming days.

Virtual ComSoc Kenya Chapter Members Meeting
Tuesday May 18, 2021


We had a fruitful Chapter meeting on the 18th of May from 1730 to 1845 EAT.

We got to know each other and look at the planned program of activities.
There was an open discussion session where members expressed their desired engagements for the Chapter.

We shall have a follow up meeting in two months.

Formation of the Technical University of Kenya Communications Society Student Branch Chapter

We are pleased to advise you of the official approval of the petition to form the Technical University of Kenya Communications Society Student Branch Chapter. The approval date is May 31, 2021, and the geo-code is SBC99364.
We wish them well in their activities. The official launch is coming up soon. 
The founding officers are:

Stephen Okwiri, Founding Chair

Stephen Okwiri is a third year student at The Technical University of Kenya taking Communication and Computer Networks.
He is into research about implementation of neural networks in solving communication problems.

Dr. Kennedy Ronoh, Advisor

Dr Kennedy Ronoh is a Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Computer Networks at Technical University of Kenya.
